Positive:
Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is one of the top Christian movies. The movie like other Jones series is entertaining. The movie gives you a feel of rekindled romance as the movie recaptures the unexplained mysteries of the Classic Spielberg movies. Like most of Harrison Ford movies, the acting is strong throughout the scenes. Ford like always is full of energy and force. Like the Last Crusade, Ford gracefully takes the audience through suspenseful actions. According to reviewers the plots have loads of humor and action throughout the movie. Through the chase scenes the viewers get a nostalgic thrill ride.
Negative:
Christian viewers had complained about some of the scenes in Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. There are complaints about the violence scenes that are realistically against God. It is one of the latest PG movies that start out nicely discussing the living dead, which is offensive to some Christian viewers. There is a lot of gun firing in the movie and explosives, which Christians may take offense to because in the bible God says, “Vengeance is mine.” Thus, violence is against God. Still, the movie has some positive because there is no nudity. This is the most important for some Christians, as these acts are against God. Magic is also against God’s way, so this part of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull seems to offend some Christian viewers also.
Overall: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is not one of the worst movies on the Christian market. It is actually one of the best because it does not have nudity, or other trash like taking God’s name in vain. Christians in summary, give Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull two thumbs up!
