Summary
National Treasure: Book of Secrets
Positive:
The National Treasure: Book of Secrets is one of the most liked Christian films. Nicolas Cage plays Benjamin Franklin Gates and works with Diane Kruger who plays Dr. Abigail Chase in the movie to find romance and riches. They join to search for national treasures and all the while they team up in wisecracking and crime to go back through history in an effort to claim romance and riches. Ben throughout the movie however has a need to discover the facts about President Abraham’s Assassination. The greatest thing that Christians love about the National Treasure: Book of Secrets is that the movie does not contain nudity. Nicolas quest to find the truth is a positive experience in this movie that drives Christians to view it. On the flip side, there is no nudity in the movie, which makes it one of the preferred movies to watch by Christians.
Negative:
The movie does however contain violence and lots of action. The violent scenes include fisticuffs, but the scenes are short. You see blood, but there is nothing really outstanding. There is a semi-intense chase scene, but no one is killed in the scene. There is implication of death however. The mother has some language that is totally against God. In the movie, the actor uses the word “holy” and “God” between heavy cuss words. There is indication of drunkenness, and a party scene in the movie. The movie depicts sexuality, which is against the Law of God. There are scenes of women wearing low-cut shirts, showing cleavage. There is also kissing, a woman wearing a tight dress, and then some passionate kissing. It is definitely not suitable for most Christian viewers.
Overall: The movie does has some good, so if you can get through the bad stuff without letting it affect you, then you should do fine watching National Treasure: Book of Secrets.
